North Wales

I'm heading up to North Wales in 5 weeks to hit a few of the train centers. Coed Y Brenin, Llandegla etc....

There are 6 of us going all in our mid 20's. We're looking to hire a caravan or maybe camp....

Can anyone suggest a good location to stay? We need somewhere that has good facilities but more importantly is near civilization so we hit the pub(s) for a few beers in the evenings.

We're looking for somewhere central rather than the north coast.
Has anyone been to Bala?

Theres a farm opposite the entrance to Coedy that has rooms and a barn or stop in Dollegelou down the road for pubs, curry etc. You can take in the new uplifts at Ffestinogg from there aswell as Machlynth. Please excuse the poor spelling of the place names!!
