Default Rear brake Hose Too Long

Just fitted a new rear brake to my bike and the brake hose is a bit too long. I know i should shorten them but I will need to bleed them afterwards. There Avid Elixir 1's and being avids there a PITAS to bleed or at least it looks like it. Would it be ok to wrap the hose around the head tube once to stop the cable flapping. It's a short term fix as i'll be getting a shimano brake in a few weeks which look a lot easier to bleed.

    Thanks

I've got a pair of Elixir XOs and cut the hose without needing to bleed. Just be really careful to be gentle with it... the more vigorous you are the more likely you'll lose fluid and have to bleed.
I've had over a year of use out of mine with no issues and going to do the first bleed very soon.
