Just got the freelap timing system, what do people that use it do about security for the poles?? seems likely at some stage someone will walk off with one while we are at the opposite end of the trail!!
.....was thinking hiding under a bush etc, but not sure if this will affect the accuracy of the system? cheers |

One of my buddies uses them. I think the range is about 3 metres so you should be ok putting it in a bush or under some leaves or something. Does it not state the range on the paper that came with it?

cheers, yes it does say the range but was thinking if hidden in a bush/under something it might affect how it works. been thinking of zip tying it to some thing.....not massive secure but might stop it casually being picked up

the TX Junior transmitters have a range of 1.5 meters when they are fixed in horizontal position. So itīs possible to hide them nearby the track under some bush or under some leafs. This doesnīt affect the magnetic field as long as you arenīt hiding them with a metal cover ;-)
Where did you guys bought your Freelap systems? |

ok tks for that, we have the timing poles though rather than the mx ones. I think we will just hide them in a similar way, prob just after the start and just before the finsh so they are not so obvious.
Bought them from crc but not had a chanced to set them up and use them yet. |
